NA CARREIRA CRISTÃ,
DEVE ESFORÇAR-SE ATÉ O MÁXIMO
PARA ALCANÇAR O PRÊMIO
Texto Bíblico (1 Coríntios 9:24-27)
A Bíblia diz em 1 Coríntios,
que o cristão é tal qual um excelente atleta:
• Striving for a Crown
- “1 Corinthians 9
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.
27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
• Esforçando-se por uma Coroa
- “1 Coríntios 9
24 Não sabeis vós que os que correm no estádio, todos, na verdade, correm, mas um só é que recebe o prêmio? Correi de tal maneira que o alcanceis.”
25 E todo aquele que luta, exerce domínio próprio em todas as coisas; ora, eles o fazem para alcançar uma coroa corruptível, nós, porém, uma incorruptível.
26 Pois eu assim corro, não como indeciso; assim combato, não como batendo no ar.
27 Antes subjugo o meu corpo, e o reduzo à submissão, para que, depois de pregar a outros, eu mesmo não venha a ficar reprovado.”
PORTANTO, O CRISTÃO DEVE SER UM ATLETA QUE TEM UM ALVO A SER ALCANÇADO; ELE DEVE SER IGUAL AO ATLETA VENCEDOR (vv 24-27)
2.1 O PRÊMIO:
A QUALIDADE do PRÊMIO
que o CRISTÃO receberá do SENHOR
Coroa da Vida - (Crown of Life)
Apocalipse 2:10b
"... Sê fiel até a morte, e dar-te-ei a coroa da vida."
• Diferentemente dos demais atletas, o cristão RECEBERÁ do SENHOR um PRÊMIO que DURA PARA SEMPRE (Isaías 40:10; 1 Coríntios 3:14; 9:25; Filipenses 3:14,15; Colossenses 3:23,24; 1 Tessalonicenses 2:19; 2 Timóteo 4:8; Tiago 1:12; 1 Pedro 5:4; Apocalipse 2:10; 22:12 ...)
• Ressalte-se que, PARA TANTO ...
a) O cristão deve BUSCAR A SANTIFICAÇÃO (*) (Levítico 11:44,45; Romanos 6:20-22; 1 Coríntios 1:30; 1 Tessalonicenses 4:3-7; 2 Tessalonicenses 2:13,14; Hebreus 12:14; 1 Pedro 1:15,16, etc)
- "Hebreus 12:14 Segui a paz com todos, e a santificação, sem a qual ninguém verá o Senhor; "
- “Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord”
b) O cristão deve ENVOLVER-SE NA OBRA DO SENHOR (cf Eclesiastes 9:10; Mateus 9:35-38; 25:23; Marcos 16:15; Lucas 12:42-44; João 9:4; 12:26; 2 Coríntios 4:5-7; 12:9; Efésios 5:15,16; Colossenses 1:10; 2 Tessalonicenses 1:11; 2 Timóteo 2:21; 3:17; Hebreus 13:20,21; Tiago 1:25; 1 Pedro 2:9...)

2 fitando os olhos em Jesus, autor e consumador da nossa fé, o qual, pelo gozo que lhe está proposto, suportou a cruz, desprezando a ignomínia, e está assentado à direita do trono de Deus.
